Many thanks to Claire Cameron for directing my attention to the live reading of War and Peace that is currently going on in Toronto at Nathan Phillips Square. Started at 9:00am EDT this morning, the reading will continue for 55 uninterrupted hours as a fundraiser for the tiny bird theatre company‘s upcoming production of Combat at the SummerWorks festival. Billed as “an event that celebrates the athleticism of the written word” this is quite obviously something that is not to be missed. I guess you all know where I’ll be spending the next two days.
