Today, at last, a breakthrough. Thanks to a pep talk from my lovely cousin Shelagh, I made it through the dense farming detail and political rhetoric of Part Three and have emerged into Part Four, where we pick up the narrative thread of Anna and her dysfunctional love triangle. Ah, sweet dysfunctional love, how I’ve missed you.

I’m on page 358 and I’m not even halfway through but I’m feeling reinvigorated. Tomorrow is a quiet day at home for me and I’m hoping for big things. Wish me luck.
