January 9, 2011: The Millions

PAGES READ: 21
YEAR TO DATE: 416
CURRENTLY READING: Netherland by Joseph O’Neill
BOOKS COMPLETED: 1

What can I say? It was a really busy day. Weekend reading is going to be tricky.

One of my favourite book blogs is The Millions. It started out as a way for someone named Max to keep track of his book lists and it has evolved into, well, The Millions. The people at The Millions are fans of books and fans of lists. So am I.

The Millions has recently published an excellent list – Most Anticipated: The Great 2011 Book Preview. I love this. Lots of inspiration for the year to come. (Interestingly, the list includes a new book by David Foster Wallace coming out in April 2011. David Foster Wallace died in 2008. Also, apparently there is a new Kurt Vonnegut book coming out as well. He died in 2007 and this will be his third posthumous publication. What’s next? Another Stieg Larsson trilogy?)
